Red Lady is a piece that was inspired by the images Marco shared with me of motifs that really inspired him from Mexico. I really feel the power in her movement, even when she is positioned posed still, dust flying behind her. Her naked body is adorned in motifs that can be seen as feminine, even though its worn as an armor and with this armor she doesn’t appear as naked anymore. Apples, flowers, and thick flowing hair represent all of her bounty. -Antonia x
