"This painting brings out many symbols for me, its not a linear conversation, its a slightly messy, jumbled up, conjunction of many parts. Kind of like when you wake up from a dream and you're still trying to put all the pieces, memories, thoughts and feelings together.
There is a sense of transition in this piece, with the repetition of all elements, maybe its the blurry effect, maybe its the feeling it leaves on me.
Originally i wanted this piece to represent the idea of past present and future, the cyclical dance of time, in a more broad way. But there is, once again something incredibly feminine about this piece. This blend of rawness and delicate emotion, especially with the animal imagery, speaks to dualities in womanhood—wildness and gentleness, containment and expression. And with that in mind, repetition can potentially symbolize the urgency of daily life, an emphasis on presence, and the cyclical nature of time in a feminine context." - Antonia xx
